Total Number of Nests since 2006

Juara Turtle Project has been tracking data of nests on Kampong Juara since 2006. To date, we have collected over 165,000 eggs and have released over 80,000 hattchlings in the. Unfortunately, we can only see the results in about 20 years.

According to the islanders, before 2006, there used to be about 800 nests every year on Juara Beach. Today, those numbers have drastically decreased to about 3% of those numbers.
